If you use good fuel and don't overheat it injectors should last a long time much more than 1200 hours! I suspect the overheating is what caused the problem. Shutting off an engine when it's hot is a known cause of cracking heads, the owners manual with our JD says always idle it a few minutes before shutting it off. If you kill the engine when it's working hard, start it immediately and let it idle a few minutes.
