JT, Uncle Sam,It's my money and I want it now! Isn't Keeping land in the family without paying taxes may be very difficult? Before a man who owned a large, 2000 acre 100 year old family farm passed, he turned his property into an LLC. I'm no expert. I'm guessing the LLC may have tax advantages.
As for me, I have my property in a living trust. Hopefully it will pass to my 2 kids.. They can do what they want. Sell it or keep it. I really don't care. I'll be dead.
