I log in everyday but have not posted in years. Still love Yamag. Went to start a 2470 case with a 504 that has been sitting outside for about 5 years. The push pull kill button was stuck but I got it loose . It felt ok. Primed the injection pump. I tried to start it 3 or 4 times maybe total cranking time of 15 seconds and it started. I know its got old fuel. Im thinking the governor is stuck because it revved pretty high. I quickly pulled the kill button. It seemed slow to act but died after about 5 seconds. Is there a way for me to free up the governor if that is the problem? There is a long plate on the side of the pump, I think held on with 2 bolts. Thanks for any help you might give.
