I am involved in the manufacture of electronic control systems for potato planters, fertiliser applicators, sprayers and parsnip and onion harvesters.
Even simple parts that I would order one day and get delivered the next, are hard to come by. Things like diodes are either not available or on twelve to twenty four month delivery. I had a simple rubber cable sleeve seal on order with a promised delivery date of 20th September 2021, when that date arrived I got a message, not in for another month. The last update I got was for February 2022 but I am not holding my breath.
You get quite creative working around the problems I can tell you. ;0(
