Biggest problem is a labor shortage. Plenty of product, but it is sitting in containers on ships because there's not enough dock workers available to unload it and drivers available to haul it away.
These aren't jobs where you can be effective on Day 1. For example, you decide today that you want to be a truck driver, and have never driven a truck. You probably will want to go to a driving school to get your license, and then that only means you can make the truck move. You still need months of on the job training to learn what to do with the truck.
It amazes me we are short of these types of workers, because these types of workers are generally the ones complaining about the people who sit back and collect unemployment instead of going to work, even if unemployment pays better.
