Hey yall. I got a 62 Oliver 1800a and its not running right. I think its due to fuel flow. If I go start it after its been sitting over night itll run for like 7 minutes tops. When it dies, it wont start without either or a splash of fuel in the carb, and when it starts the second time, it wont even run two minutes. The fuel systems not real great (The fuel pumps been taken off, passage been blocked with plate.). My friends deceased husband bypassed the fuel pump, made fuel lines out of brake line or such, and put an in-line Napa 2003 fuel filter (or equivalent). I took off the lines and fuel flow out of the petcock was no more than a minimal stream. Almost a drip. I took the petcock out, and it wasnt plugged, nothing was plugged, but the tank had no more than 5 gallons in it. (36 gallon tank). So, my question is, its running funny like that. That would be due to not enough fuel, correct? And, with it being gravity fed, a lack of fuel would also affect its fuel flow too, correct? Cause with an empty tank, I figure theres no pressure behind the fuel to feed the carb properly. Any help Is appreciated. Thanks all!

The colony remained far from self-supporting and it was not until the early 1800's that things started to improve.
