Gary: The worded descriptions for the Hemmings Auctions are written by a Hemmings employee who bases his description on a general 'vehicle' auction info form filled in by the seller. Obviously, you can tell by the categories mentioned (eg. Interior, etc) and very often the writer will mention 'per the owner'. So nobody is being deliberately misleading if there are mistakes. I must ask you though, what do you refer to when you make your comment about the description being 'way off'? Below is some info from the Tractor Data website which you might take a look at ..... I suspect they could be wrong as well.
