Quote: CVPost-INCase (quoted from post at 14:53:43 01/25/22) Looking at getting the lights and flasher going on the IH 444 we bought from my wifes Grandparents auction.
I know i need a new light switch and some bulbs and some wires fixed. One thing i need to fix is the amber flasher light. i have a new lens for it (should have bought the whole assembly for a few $ more.. oh well) and have not figured out how or where the flasher unit is for it. Did they have a flasher unit like the older cars had and where might it be? or is there a special flasher bulb that makes them flash? Can not tell from the parts catalog as they aren't very clear and not blown up enough.
THanks.
Click on the link to the parts book below. In the picture, Item Key Number 6 is 394132R91 flasher. With a bit of digging it appears to be a common two prong #552 automotive flasher. You didn't say if it was gas or diesel but both use the same flasher. HTH

After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
