Are your Farmall and Kubota the same? They are both tractors.
The difference here is not between maintenance free and AGM, the difference is between the wet/flooded cell and AGM battery construction technologies. Both technologies can be considered maintenance free (that * in the maintenance free* disclaimer on the battery you purchased means " *under normal operating conditions"). You purchased a "maintenance free*", wet/flooded cell type construction battery, not an AGM type construction battery. AGM is generally considered maintenance free by nature of the AGM construction technology, which entraps the electrolyte solution allowing them to be mounted on their sides if needed.
You just wanted the $49.99 maintenance free* battery from RK: not an AGM battery. (Nowhere on the battery, or online, do I see that the battery you got says it is sealed.) You got the type, $, battery you wanted but your original description wasn't right for what you purchased.
Just for the record, the RK online details for the battery DoubleO7 mentioned reads the same as the one you purchased "Designed for maintenance free* performance". (As does the $49.99 78-60 side terminal battery, no adapters would have been needed.) I believe a group 78, not 24, was the correct battery for many GM pickups around the vintage of yours.
