I assume a click-clack pump refers to an electric fuel pump that pulses to move a piston to move the fuel instead of a rotary pump that has more of a wrrrr sound like a steady running motor. Older combines that had engines up higher and the tanks lower had them. IH 403 and 715 are the ones I am familiar with, other brands had them as well.
