As much as I like the things, if youre not a mechanic Id stay away from it. Aside from its idiosyncrasies, parts are nonexistent. If it has a clutch with shuttle reverse, there is no way to tell how much life is left in the reversing transmission without splitting the tractor; if it did a lot of loader work (constant directional changes) , life expectancy is less. The BD-154 is a good starter if you know anything about series wired glow plugs. I dont like the price. If you could get it for 2K Id think about it. But 5000 will buy a half decent 4500 Ford that is twice the machine of the 3414.
