Have unfortunately seen many tires drug to destruction before but pretty impressive how neatly and uniform those tires are worn down.
Thinking back to my days working in the maint. dept. for an oilfield service company, I have a recollection of a driver pulling into the yard at the end of the day with smoke rolling out of the brakes on the tri-axle trailer he was pulling. When asked "WTF are you doing?" he responded with "I thought it was pulling a bit harder than normal but just figured the tractor was gutless so whatever....." A co-worker jumped in the truck cab & found the trailer spike partially pulled down.....
Unit had to go to work the next morning so we stayed late to do a brake job. That wouldn't have been so bad since the axles had outboard drums but he had it so hot that after it sat for a few minutes the heat went into the hubs & axles. Melted the wheel seals & outboard s-cam bushings right out of it! Not sure how it didn't catch on fire actually? I remember having to spray it down with the pressure washer prior to working on it.
