Put a naked junk rim on the drive axle that will fit your truck, lawn tractor, tractor, etc. The bigger the better as long as not too cumbersome. Remove all fasteners between ends of wire. Secure one end to inside of rim. Secure a weight that can be dragged to the other end, I use a heavy log chain with hooks removed. Put vehicle in gear and wind it up. Stay at the controls so you can stop it when you feel it getting too tight. Then put rim and wire on the scrap pile.
