And I was putting a rebuilt injector pump back on a 4020 Power shift. Every thing was going good. Put in new batteries and cleaned the cables up good. This tractor has been setting for about 9 years. Had the gear shift in PARK. But I could not find anything to wedge in the clutch pedal. So I made a jumper to put in the harness so I could crank it over. Don't call Barney just yet! It cranked over real nice with the new batteries. So I was watching were I had the fuel lines still loose at the injectors as I cranked it over some more. All six had fuel. So I stopped cranking and tightened the lines up. It started right up and ran real smooth for a few seconds. I was between the brake pedals and the right rear tire and all of the sudden I heard a big bang! Oil, antifreeze and fuel went every where. But the engine just kept running and blowing out more fluids. I pulled the throttle knob out and put the lever in the off posistion. But it kept on running at a low idle. I put my finger on the lever on the injector pump and got it to stop. Now I can see parts of the head gasket sticking out of both sides of number six and sticking out of the right side of 5 and 4 as well. I still had the radiator cap off and it blew some out there as well. It does not have a turbo. What could have happened?
