I remember in the 1960s there was a farm family that lived only a mile or so from town. They had 4 kids, and the dad had never held a drivers license and neither did the mother. They just hooked a nice rubber tired trailer to the tractor and everyone just hopped in and off to town they went. There was a bus that you could catch in town if you wanted to go into the city, they just took that bus. Town had everything they needed, Doctors, hospital, groceries, hardware, feed mill, farm equipment dealership. They didnt need a car, and just didnt bother to get one. I dont see too much wrong with this kid riding his tractor to school, heck I used to ride my snowmobile.
