The engine and HST was in good shape. It has a 17 hp Kawasaki water cooled. I changed the HST oil, replaced wheel bearing, used Silicone to stop valve covers leaking. Mower deck was in pieces so I used mower deck off GT275 which I can attach A-g vacuum to. The original hood was missing. The guy used a 160 hood. I made the hood work.
Fixed front and rear tire.
All in all. I'm happy with my $200 John Deere which we use as a trim mower. Farmall is the main mower.
I think the engine and HST will last me a lifetime.
I also put a new mower deck under my old craftsman.
I'm glad I decided I leave the tiller on my old GT275 and put the mower
