Quote: CVPost-grayrider (quoted from post at 11:09:20 06/06/22) This is not a propane installation, simply a temporary hose thats suitably capable of the psi range to deliver the gas from the permanent one inch galvanized piping to a location out in the yard. Quite commonly used , Im not the first. Before I retire in 2 years I will bury a poly line over to my favorite shade tree and have a riser stubbed up at the location. But until then theres nothing wrong and unsafe in using appropriate air line hose, its not left laying out in the yard day after day, only used when needed.
"I only use it under these very specific conditions" is worlds away from "Any old hose is good for a permanent installation for everyone everywhere," which is what your initial response heavily implied.
You have to see how other people will take your response. It was basically, "I use air hose" with no context. People take that to mean any hold hose will do for any installation. Next thing you know they're running old air hoses through the house to run LP to their stoves and dryers. God willing they only have a gas leak, but when something does go wrong, "BBbbbbbuttt.... grayrider said it was okay to use air hose!"
When they fill the house with gas or God forbid, have a fire or worse, they're not going to thump their chest and say "Rule followers never made any progress! MURICA!"
