Put a new manifold on my IH460U and the original 90 degree cast pieces no longer fits the new unit. I bought an adapter that is cast but will need to cut it down to use the flange and plan on build the 90 out of some stainless I already have.
I have some Inconel rod which would be suitable or I could braze it. Not sure which would hold up better.
Unrelated I have a dodge that has a second exhaust port brazed (I believe) on and it has not had an issue with thousands of miles and many heat cycles.
Just above the fiberglass cloth is the original 90 turn down thats being replaced. I'm only using the flange of the replacement offset outlet.
