On my New Holland 311 baler the PTO shield is made of sheet metal and has dings and dents in it. This makes it difficult for the two halves of the shield to slide back and forth across each other. Should I take the torch and heat up the outer shield and force it down over the inner shield to help straighten the outer shield? How have you solved this problem? Should I just remove the sheet metal tube and replace with plastic? Recommend For manufacturers of plastic PTO shield. The actual PTO is in good shape, its the shield that is bad.
