I have a 20 hp Honda on one terramite. The bottom of the fuel tank is about 2 ft below the carb which next to the carb is the vacuum operation fuel pump.
I tractor has been running it will start normal.
If it sits for a week it takes a lot of cranking before fuel gets to carb. Then all is good.
So I decided to try using a primer bulb used in boats.
