They are a custom outfit. So they need to make those kinds of numbers to make it work financially. More hay more money and on to the next job. So no surprise they are using that much labor and equipment. I worked for a guy in KS that had 10 9600 combines and supporting equipment. 3 Grain carts 1 840 and 2 1240's all Kinze with a Stieger tiger on one and a 876 Versatile on the other with a 4955 on the small one. It was the most efficient actually as it was quick and easy to maneuver. Then he had 5 tandems with pups and 5 semi's to keep grain hauled away in wheat and needed another truck for each 5 combines to keep up in corn. In ID the farmer had enough trucks to keep it hauled in 100 bushel per acre irrigated wheat so we let them haul.
