Reminiscing about growing tobacco and comparing our farming techniques in our respective areas of NC made our time together special. I am impressed by Grayson's desire to get into farming, especially considering how the economics of farming have changed over the last couple of years. I know he is anxious to get the plow cleaned up and get some green paint on it, but keep him focused on getting the baccer crop in and sold. Remember tobacco pays the bills! He's gonna have to be extra nice to his IH 300 so it will tolerate a green implement hitched to it! Miss Joanne and I both hope we can visit again.

Today's Featured Article - Oliver 550 Purchaser Checklist - by Greg Sheppard. Pound for pound the 550 is better than anything I've seen. It has great power for its size and can really hunker down and lug. Classified as a 3-bottom plow depending on soil conditions.
