Well I guess that settles the debate 007 ..... man, that's pretty steep, not so much the 5% but the $500 minimum. I remember checking out once the fees that are charged to put your ride on the Hemmings' auctions, I thought those were reasonable but I can't remember how much they were. I think once your vehicle goes through the two week auction and it doesn't reach your reserve, you then have the option of putting it up for sale where your once-hidden reserve price become the asking price and the top bid from the auction becomes the top offer in the sale category. BUT I don't believe the top bid/top offer is binding for the person who made that bid. That's the way I figured it works anyways. I watch the auctions daily, I would say a fair number of the listings do not meet the reserve. Also, Hemmings picks and chooses whether your ride gets into the auction in the first place I think.
