Worked on computers starting in 1963 in the Air Force. Retired from working full time 2006 and quit doing computers about 2017. Switched from Windows to Unix like and Apple. Now only use Apple. A friend ask me to look at his computer a few months ago. I was like a fish out of water, eventually cleaned it of ransomware and got it going and clean. Built a few pcs for clients, family and friend. It was usually cheaper to buy.I cant even buy wholesale anymore.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
