I'm trying to replace the cross-over hoses on the steering cylinders for my MF 80 backhoe. The first hose wasn't too bad but I can't get the fitting loose on the second hose. The repair manual says it may be easier if the cylinders are removed. Yeah, but they don't tell me how. In the pic you can see the nut (which I removed) but there is a threaded bolt-like pin with a slot in the head. Tried large screw driver...couldn't budge it. I tried pounding lightly but don't think that would be it. Has anyone ever removed these cylinders from the front axel? I need some advice on this as the other end of the cylinder is no picnic either. Thanks.
