For a parade you need something that can keep up. For a show grounds a tractor is too big and could be too fast.
I get tired of the atv and side by sides at shows, and even the golf carts get a bit much when I see younger than me able bodied folk blocking up the walkways on them.....
But its really cool when an old gravely or toro or other powered wheelbarrow or early version of a side by side goes by. I would think one of those machines would be the ticket for cruising through a show. They are appropriate to the show, and I dont mind getting out of their way on the path.
This is a rough look, there are much cooler rigs but I cant remember the names of them.
