Hard to say... The 360 is a pro saw vs the 311 being a farm saw... so 360 should be better or more durable. It has good power for it's size and weight. THe downside of all the older Stihls is the air filters plugging... which you will probably find a lot less problematic on the 311. I couldn't believe the difference with our 441 compared to the 360 or 44 in that regard.
