A test light will be the cheapest and simplest diagnostic tool.
Turn on the lights, accessories, anything to put a load on the electric system, then start checking at the battery, systematically moving the clip and probe on the light until you find where the power loss is.
Since the battery itself shorted, most likely the problem will be right at the battery, a melted cable connection, could have even taken the battery itself out. Not likely to be anything deeper into the electrical system.
