Did you start having issues, or was this something a doctor came up with? There used to be allowances for aging with blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, weight, etc. Now the medical system seems to operate on the premise that we can all be about perfect with chemical manipulation. I wouldn't expect an animal or a machine well past its prime to operate like it once did. I know I sure don't! I am thankful for something as simple as eye drops which can control glaucoma, but I am suspicious of the necessity for, and the negative side effects of so many blood pressure/cholesterol drugs.
