Thats good to hear. I was all ears at your age listening and reading info. Was always open for suggestions and still am. As time flys by in the future u will know mechanics from the fly by nighters. I have my red seal mechanics ticket for over 40 years. In my early 20s I was a journey man mechanic. Plus I am not bragging as there is a lot of mechanics without licenses that do good work. Taking your apprenticeship you learn quite a lot in school also when if come to technical stuff. Such as how a carburetor works , how points and the electrical work. Engine clearances. But now a days mechanics dont hardly overhaul anything. Its just remove and replace the part or parts. So if youre into fixing old stuff its listening to the old as nowadays pretty sure points and carburetor s are not even mentioned in class. A person cant even find a person to do a carb job anymore of work on a magneto, or even set points or set valves. Its a dying art. Just as is the sound of them 2 bangers.
