Yes , John, 100% correct. I would just add that nobody complains about the customer who brings back 3 batteries, insisting that they are defective, when something else is wrong with the vehicle. Or a customer that wants to argue about getting the wrong parts when he gave the wrong information in the first place. There is also much more leniency regarding the return of electronic parts than there was in the past. Used to be all sales final unless the defective part was exchanged for the exact same thing. International used to warranty those worthless glow plug controllers on the old pre-camber 7.3s for 90 days. You could get a second one, but after that you were on your own. Today you can buy a lifetime duralast and change it once a week if you want to, for the original purchase price.
