a few weeks (months) ago someone posted about having a slate roof and needing repairs. I replied that I had the same situation. I did find a local contractor who repaired the slate barn roof (several slate missing and a lot that slipped), the slate house roof and another building with a slate roof. Wasn't cheap but not as much as I was worried it might be. Hope it lasts. If the original poster reads this I wonder if he found a solution, I think he was in Ohio. I found this repairer by asking other contractors if they knew anyone who repaired slate. Phil
