Back in the early 1970's there was a writeup on this tractor in the British farming press complete with a coloured picture. That picture really struck me as it was a Ford tractor far more stylish, in my eyes, than what we were selling. I never ever believed I would see one in the flesh back then but the picture stayed in my mind. In 2011, we went to Australia for the first time and my friends Barry and Dawn arranged for me, not only to see one but to actually drive one, and, on every visit since then an 8401 visit has been on the agender.
