I buy it by the barrel and mix it myself. As for how do I know if it is 50/50 well I don't believe if it is off by s cup full in 2.5-5 gallon it matters much in the scope of things and I doubt they worry about it being off a wee bit either. Also the freeze point is not going to be that far off either. As for the old I save it with the freeze point on the jug so if I need to add some to something and it is a bit stout I don't worry about a qt or a half gallon in a 10 gallon system if it was a bit stout to begin with. Also I guess that is where some common sense comes into play. If your low and it tests to -30 and it doesn't need to be that stout and you ad some that is good for 0or -7 then you didn't affect it all that much with a 10 gallon system and if you don't fill it right to the top you could still put a bit of straight stuff in to bring it up a bit. Been doing it for decades like that without any frozen blocks from it. I do test it before adding and after running for a day.
