You'd be surprised how often we get a car in with bad gas. Usually the wrong fuel got put into a tank somewhere along the line. Seen a lot of gas/diesel mixes. Some test out like gasoline but won't burn worth a darn. Dump some on the floor and it won't evaporate. I've had some that I put in a test tube and it separated into 2 layers. One clear and the other yellow. Neither was water because when I added water and shook it up, it separated into 3 layers.
