FWIW, a customer bought a gear reduction starter from a farm parts supplier for his 4430 and had me install it, along with new batteries.
It SOUNDS like it's cranking fast (because of the it's high-speed motor and gear noise) but I wasn't real impressed that it was actually cranking the engine faster than the OEM Delco.
The battery cables were replaced a year ago with $$$ OEM DEERE cables.
Also, it is leaking a little oil out it's stubby little rubber drain tube, which indicates it either isn't set up for use with a ''wet clutch'' or the seal isn't doing it's job.
This is just a report one ONE starter version, a ''no name'' part from ''The Land of Almost Right'', I'm not saying there may not be better/more impressive units out there.
