All fords '65 - early 1990s used the same style front axle, it had a very large pivot pin which left very little meat to support the weight of the tractor, I have seen them break from the tractor rearing up and then slaming down on the front tires, when you add a loader you add approx 6 to 8 hundred pounds to the front, PLUS whatever you put in the bucket. It can be quite a load to bear! I have seen them run for years and years with no problem, and I have seen a few break several a year, ( many times taking the radiator *ouch* , tie rods, and drag links with it!!) Use it for the LIGHT duty loader it was made to be and you'll be OK, use it for a Cat crawler and your parts bills will look as if you own one. P.S. if you don't have power steering, don't even think about a loader.......
