We agreed on a price, and part of the deal was he had to deliver it to town for transport. It took me awhile to arrange transport, but when I did, he got it to town at his expense, as agreed. Battery had gone bad on the tractor, and the delivery guy said, "its got to be capable of starting so I can run it on and off the semi to complete my load". So my guy takes the battery he just got the month before out of his pickup, and puts it on the tractor, with no assurance from anybody that he would be reimbursed for it. Kind of going the extra mile, as far as I'm conderned. I sent him a check for the battery, of course, with my thanks.
