Mike........as seductive as a 1-wire alternator seems, it ain't the cost of 1-wire alternators, its the low rpm's of tractor engines. 3-wire (ie...external excitation) seem to work much better and besides ya getts to install an "idiot light" in the excitation line because most people anymore don't know how to read an ammeter anymore..........respectfully, Dell
