The resistance characteristics are totally different for these two types of plug lead. If the tractor has a magneto, copper (or steel) wires are required (a must do). For a coil and distributor either type is OK. But, the metal cored leads have no electrical interference suppression characteristics and may well interfere with TV/radio reception over quite a distance.
Plugs - mostmodern ones are equivalent but the heat range is most important and may depend on engine, fuel and load amongst others
