I have four old Speedex tractors,S-24, like yours. One I have had for 32 years. Two mow grass, one pulls a wagon, one plows snow. I use them to move a boat and trailer once in a while or to move my equipment trailer. With chains one plows snow pretty well. You can't hurt that old Briggs engine and if you do it can be fixed. There are not many new parts around, but there is a Speedex web site. Most of what you need can be made or welded up.You probaply won't hurt the differential but if you have trans troubles you will have to find used parts. I have paid that much for one of my tractors in decent shape and not been disappoited. Buy the Equipment too. You won;t be sorry. Ron
