Most diesel engines that I ever saw have an oil gallery that oils the wrist pin,but I never had a continental diesel apart.Usually those engines that have a pipe shooting oil up on the bottm side of the piston usually are turbocharged.I dont see why you couldnt drill a hole in the top shell in line with the gallery in the rod,might want to chamfer it a little so there arent any burrs.
