Well, it's pretty simple. If the grill has no insert cutaway,( a rectangular hole in the bottom center), it's for the W-6 type. Having the insert cutaway with no round holes in the third level up 4 slot pattern makes it an M or Super M grill. If it has the insert cutaway and the two round holes in the third 4 slot pattern up from the bottom(the big round holes about half way around), it's a Super MTA grill. All M-MTA grills had the two little holes near the center vertical rib a little over half way up, the W-6 grills had none. Got it?? If the grill's a couple of inches narrower and somewhat shorter, it's an H, Super H, or W-4 grill with the same characteristics, more or less. Hope this helps you.
