If you happen to look at an old 6" Craftsman and the serial # starts w/ 109.XXX just walk away. Not that there is really anything WRONG with the machine (they are nice little beasties in their way) except they are a BEAR to find parts for. The 109's were made by a Company called AA Dumore, with features like #0 MT spindles, and 1/2"-20 chucks.....(both scarce). The 6" 101.XXX series Craftsmans were built by Atlas, are heavier machines, and MUCH easier to find parts for.
