Hey Rev,all.I can pretty much agree with most of the posts on this, just noticed one detail that hasn't been mentioned so I'll throw my .02cts. in the pot. Anybody notice the time frame each day for shuting down farm and construction equiptment? From 7-10 AM to 3-7 PM.If this is about pollution, help me with this little detail.Won't a tractor or truck have about the same emmisions at any time of day?An hour run time is an hour running, engines don't know real time. The only tie to pollution I can see here is the fact that the planes and cars need these time slots to pollute and everyone else be dammed. I'm not familiar with your area, but around here this reg.would simply allow all the Beemers,Volvos and SUVS to run wide flippen open from their monstrous mansions to their air conditioned offices without being slowed down by someone actually earning a living. We also would not want little Tiffany and Buffy to be late for soccer practice because some ol farmer wanted to get the hay baled in the 3-7 PM time period.OK for Dad to come home and play around with the Boomer, its less than 40 HP. Does the 15 min.idle time someone mentioned apply to the tow truck driver trying to get the SUV back on its wheels? This little interuption to the 70 MPH traffic flow and the reason for the 4 mile traffic standstill was the Starbucks coffee mug falling in Dads lap, while he was calling on his cell phone to find out what kind of wine he was supposed to bring home. Ahh,the joys of living in the great unspoiled countryside.
