Turbo pipe on diesel engine??

Hi, this really isn't "tractor" related but I figured many of you out there could still help me out, since I do use it to pull tractors around! Anyway, we have a Ford truck that is a powerstroke. I want to take the crush pipe off that turns down from the turbo and put a full round one on that isn't smashed at all. I know this will have to increase the power, but will I run into any problems doing it, and can I use regular aluminized pipe from a muffler shop to make it? Thanks,and any help given to me will be greatly appreciated.
