I may be going out on a limb without model numbers. most of the cross and gresen valves that are supplied with 4 way ports are double acting from the factory. "A" and "B" ports are for rod end and piston end of the cylinder. to make these valves three way (single acting), you simply plug the "A" port and attach the cylinder hose the the "B" port. then you also have the options of open center, closed center and power beyond. if you can post or email a model number, i will try with more confidenance and detail.
