I have seen alfalfa planted with many different machines. Work soil ahead of seeder and broadcast and drag not disk seed in. drag three times to smooth out the field. More alfalfa grown here than any other part of the US. Drills and brillion seeders may be better but not that much. seed 15 lbs an acre.
