I have a V with wheel weights, and I need to change the tires also. But I haven't seen anything other than some rust and a coat of paint that would explain your troubles. With the machine on good jackstands and/or carefully cribbed up, remove the lugs and it wouldn't hurt to pull the wheel weight as it will make putting everything back together just that much HEAVIER. You are sure the tire is not loaded, if loaded.. you may want to hire a tire shop. Then with everything off and everything safe from a tire falling on it. take your tire maul or sledge hammer and pop the tire from the center of the tractor out. Not the wheel you will ding it up. When the paint/rust lets go the bottom will kick out. Have you found a source for the classic 8.00-24 tires? Where are you? Have you boght the service manual? I have the I&T that covers all the BF Averys but it does not list lubricants. The last owner is still looking for the book but I doubt that it will be found. The I&T does not have good info on adjusting the carb, for that matter. So I am thinking of breaking down and getting the service book. Vince, Chaffee New York
