I have always understood 4WD to mean(in relation to tractors) that all wheels are always driving and that they are all the same size ,while fwa means that the front wheels are smaller and only assist the rear wheels and can be disengaged. In trucks they are called 4WD ,but are classed as full time or part time.FWD on the other hand -to me -means front wheel drive -as in most cars nowadays -alomg with the AWD's (all wheel drive) confusing, ain't it!!!
